Aban Offsore wins $300 million contract

Mumbai, Mar 19: Aban Offshore Limited has received a letter of Intent for deployment of the newly built jack-up rig Aban VIII in the Middle East for a 18 wells plus four optional wells programme. The estimated revenues from the Contract was $300 million spread over four years. The deployment was to commence following delivery of the rig, which is expected in the second quarter of 2008, the Company release stated here.
