SAIL Deputy Manager shot dead in Noida

Noida, Mar 18 (UNI) Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Deputy Manager R K Anand was shot dead today by assailants here in sector 62 in Gautambudh district of Uttar Pradesh.

Superintendent of Police R K Gautam said that unidentified motorcycle-borne youths shot at R K Anand (45), Deputy Manager at SAIL, Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi. Fatally injured Anand was taken to a hospital in Noida sector 30, where he was declared dead.

Anand was on his way home in sector 62 when the incident took place. Witnesses told police that the motorcycle borne youths stopped Anand's car chatted with him and shot at him.

Police have sent the body of Anand for post-mortem and launched an investigation.
