Rs 20.05 crore collected in CM's relief fund for Tsunami victims
Jaipur, Mar 18 (UNI) A sum of Rs 20.05 crore was collected till December, 2007 in Chief Minister's Tsunami Relief Fund for Tsunami victims of Tamil Nadu from which Rs 17.42 crore had already been spent, the Rajasthan Assembly was informed today.
While replying to a question from Hari Mohan Sharma (Congress), Crisis Managment Department Minister Laxmi Narain Dave said Rs 17.42 crore from relief fund had spent on various projects in Kanchipuram, Villupuram and Cuddalore districts, recommended by the Tamil Nadu government.
A sum of Rs 2,62,59000 was still lying unused in the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, the minister added.
