Premini Sinha distributes uniforms to students in Jammu

Jammu, Mar 18 (UNI) Premini Sinha, wife of Jammu and Kashmir Governor S K Sinha, today visited Jagati near Nagrota in city outskirts and distributed free uniforms to the students here.

Lauding the sponsors, Jammu and Kashmir branch of the Association for Social Health in India (ASHI), Ms Sinha hoped that other non-governmental organisations would also emulate the spirit of helping deserving sections of the society, particularly the girl children.

''Women empowerment is imperative for healthy growth of the society,'' Ms Sinha, who is also chairperson of the ASHI, said in her address.
