Neil Maxwell appointed as CEO for Team Mohali
Chandigarh, Mar 18 (UNI) India Premier League's Team Mohali today announced the appointment of Neil Maxwell as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the team.
An IPL release issued here today stated that his role as part of the core management team would be to oversee the operations of the team and work towards building a brand for Team Mohali.
Mr Maxwell has been actively involved in the cricket for last 22 years. As an all rounder, he has played for Australia 'A' as well as represented New South Wales and Victoria state teams for several years.
He has also worked with Cricket NSW, the Melbourne Cricket Club; Lord's (Marylebone Cricket Club) and New Zealand Cricket in administration and marketing roles.
Using his cricket expertise, he joined fellow cricketer Shane Lee to establish Sporting Frontiers India and Sporting Frontiers Cricket, an international sports marketing group.
Commenting on the move Mr Maxwell said, "I am extremely excited to be part of Team Mohali, as this will give me a good opportunity to be associated with a sport that I love so much and we promise a lot of exciting and unforgettable cricketing action from Team Mohali".
