Govt should make all efforts for Sarabjit Singh's release:BJP
New Delhi, Mar 17 (UNI) The BJP today asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to make all efforts to secure the release of Indian national Sarabjit Singh, incarcerated in Pakistan on false charges and slated to be hanged on April one.
BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the Prime Minister ''lost sleep'' when the Australian police arrested Indian doctor Mohammed Hanif for his alleged involvement in the failed Glasgow bombings but was not making ''honest efforts'' to secure Sarabjit's release. ''Sarabjit had strayed into Pakistan and was framed for subversive activities.'' The Indian government had not made any honest effort to secure Sarabjit's release and the nation was unhappy and angry about this diplomatic inaction, he added.
