Four killed, NDFB camp set on fire in Assam
Kokrajhar, Mar 18 (UNI) At least four NDFB militants were shot dead today by suspected former Bodo Liberation Tiger (BLT) cadres when the latter indiscriminately fired upon an NDFB camp at Ghosakhana under Datama police station.
Additional Superintendent of Police S Sonowal confirmed that four died on the spot and the casualty might go up as the attacker indiscriminately fired upon the camp, used by the NDFB militants for transit.
The incident took place at 1800 hours.
The NDFB was on a ceasefire agreement with the Union Government and had been engaged in a bitter tussle with the former BLT men, running the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), after signing the Bodo accord.
The incident was the latest of the ongoing tit-for-tat attack, which had affected the whole Bodo area for the past one month.
Only yesterday NDFB killed one of the surrendered militants, who was used by the BLT side.
