Criminals attack police; 4 injured

Gonda, Mar 18 (UNI) At least 10 people, including four policemen, received serious injuries after criminals attacked police, who had gone to arrest them here today.

According to official sources, the incident occured when police had gone to arrest criminals accused in double murder case.

The criminals attacked the police, who also retaliated.

Six criminals and four policemen, including station in-charge, got injured in the clash.

Police had arrested the wounded criminals, however one fled the scene.

On March 11, a named FIR was lodged against 10 people of which three were held the next day.
