Aircel offers lifetime validity at Rs 248
Shimla, Mar 18 (UNI) Aircel, the country's fifth largest GSM mobile operator, today announced the launch of a new lifetime validity at Rs 248 only, while fixing the rate of a local call at 99 paise only.
The lifetime validity offer is available at Rs 248 with a starter pack of Rs 49 following which the rate of a local call has been fixed at 99 paise, company's Chief Operating Officer (COO) Gurdeep Singh said in a release here.
He said while the new subscibers would have to buy a starter pack of Rs 49 and recharge with 248 to avail lifetime validity, existing prepaid subscribers could also recharge with Rs 248 and to get lifetime validity.
Under the offer, while the local call would be charged at 99 paise, STD would cost Rs 2.75, while a local SMS would cost Re one and a national Rs two, he said.
''The lifetime prepaid is a step in providing good value to customers and this will also help the company retain and broaden our customer base,'' he added.
