2 youth held, gold biscuits, US currency seized
Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 18 (UNI) Police today arrested two people and seized 44 gold biscuits worth Rs 70 lakh and 37,000 US dollar, at Mandapet.
Police said alert constables arrested the youth after they tried to give them the slip at Mandapet while riding a motorcycle. A search revealed the contraband.
Ghanta Ramachandrarao and Vegi Ramamohanarao belonged to Narsapur of West Godavari District.
The duo could not show valid documents for the gold biscuits and the US currency.
