Uttar Prdesh: A trader shot dead

Ballia, Mar 17: Masked gunmen shot dead a trader and his aide in Bansdih Kotwali area of the district. Vinod Kumar (45) and Ajit Kumar (22) were indiscriminately fired at by desperadoes on Bandih-Ballia road late last night, police said today.

Although, the victims' family alleged the murder was a handiwork of some marauders, police ruled out their claims, saying Rs 13,500 were recovered from the spot. A manhunt had been launched and the bodies sent for post-mortems.
