Raj Assembly passes Appropriation Bill
Jaipur, Mar 17 (UNI) The Rajasthan Assembly today passed the Rajasthan Appropriation Bill(No.2) Bill 2008 by a voice vote to authorise the state governemnt to draw Rs 42,755.64 crore from the Consolidated Fund for services and budgetary purposes during the financial year 2008-2009.
The assembly also passed the Rajasthan Financial Bill 2008 by a voice vote to enforce the announcements including the tax proposals and various schemes and programmes announced by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in her budget speech.
This marks the assembly's approval to state budget 2008-2009 which was presented by Ms Raje on February 25.
