Orissa yet to lift ban on recruitment
Bhubaneswar, Mar 17 (UNI) Orissa government has not taken any decision in principle to lift the ban imposed on recruitment for various basic posts lying vacant in various departments, Finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadhei told the Assembly today.
Replying to a question of Mr Haji Mohammed Ayub Khan(Ind), the minister said there was no restriction on filling up of the posts lying vacant on promotion.
The Finance Minister said in the event of administrative urgency the posts were being filled up with the prior approval of the Finance department.
The government has recently taken a decision to recruit regular and contractual workers in 35,808 posts as per the announcement of the Chief Minister taking the administrative requirement, Mr Ghadhei said.
