1 killed, 6 injured in bomb explosion

Bhagalpur, Mar 17: One person was killed and six were seriously injured when rival groups hurled bombs at each other in Khajarpur Mohalla under Barari police station in the district on Mar 16.

Police said here today that supporters of one Shahid Chaudhary and Ramesh Chaudhary, who started fighting over a family issue, started hurling bombs at each other.

While Shahid died on the spot, six people sustained multiple injuries and were rushed to the Bhagalpur Medical College. The condition of four is stated to be critical.

An FIR had been lodged by the families of the victims.

Police said two people were arrested and investigation was on.
