Notification for acquiring land for Attari post issued
Amritsar, Mar 17 (UNI) The Punjab government today issued the notification for acquiring 120 acres of land for the ambitious Integrated Wagah-Attari Check Post project.
The notification was issued by Deputy Commissioner K S Pannu on behalf of the state government.
The notification stated that objections and claims by those whose land is being acquired could be filed before the concerened Sub Divisional Magistrate by April four.
This centrally funded project involves upgradation of the Attari-Wagah road check post and the Attari railway station.
Agricultural land in the vicinity of the road check post upto the Attari railway station will be acquired for the project.
The road check post and Attari railway station are being upgraded in view of the increase in Indo-Pakistan trade through these routes.
