Nagaland Budget Session from tomorrow

Kohima, Mar 17 (UNI) The first session of the 11th Nagaland Legislative Assembly will begin here tomorrow and the state finance minister is expected to present state budget for the year of 2008-09 by next week.

The protem-speaker, Dr Neikiesalie Nicky Kire, will administer the oath of affirmation to the newly elected members and conduct the election of the Speaker, also tomorrow.

The Congress Legislature Party is expected to announce its party candidate for the post of Speaker.

State Governor K.Sankaranarayanan will address the house on March 20.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who is holding the Finance portfolio also, will present budget on March 24.

The session will continue till March 27.
