KMC Suspends three Employees

Kolhapur, Mar 17 (UNI) The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) today suspended its three employees, arrested in connection with misappropriation in the KMC property tax development.

Disclosing this to reporters, KMC standing committee Chairman Sunil Modi said the three employees- Uday Shankarao Mane, Bapusaheb Shivaji Gavali and Nitin Baburao Chaugule--were arrested yesterday by police.

The Employees were working at the KMC Tararani property tax section and had allegedly misappropriated an amount of about Rs 70 Lakh in favour of 42 property holders, he said.

KMC has now decided to conduct audit of all sections by chartered accountants and was issuing tenders for the purpose, Modi added.
