Govt to expedite all pending projects in Telangana: YSR
Hyderabad, Mar 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said that the State Government would expedite all the pending irrigation projects taken up in Telangana region.
According to an official release here, Dr Reddy said Devadula, Rajiv Bhima, Jawahar Nettampadu, Flood flow canal, Ellampalli, Kalwakurti, Koil Sagar, Rajiv Dummugudem and Indira Sagar Lift projects would be completed within two to three years.
The Pranahita-Chevalla irrigation project, taken up at the cost of Rs 18,000 crore, would be completed in three to four years, he added.
He said the Government had also prepared an action plan to complete all the projects at the earliest.
The Chief Minister said 11.09 lakh acres of land was brought under new ayacut in the first three years of the Government and irrigation water was provided to 14.26 lakh acres in Telangana in the khariff season during 2007-08.
