Former CM on indefinite dharna for bridge construction
Koderma, Mar 17 (UNI) Former Chief Minister and president of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Democratic) Babulal Marandi today sat on an indefinite dharna at the bridge construction site over Sakri river in the district.
Talking to UNI, Mr Marandi said construction work of the bridge had been disrupted for the last two years.
''The bridge to be built at a cost of about Rs 7 crore will bring relief to more than 40,000 people who face immense problem, especially during rainy season,'' Mr Marandi said.
Accusing the UPA backed Madhu Koda government of delay in completing the bridge, he said the construction of the bridge was disrupted during the erstwhile NDA regime but the present government 'failed' to complete the project.
''The dharna will continue till the government finds a concrete solution,'' Mr Marandi said.
