Fire at Yogayog Bhavan

Kolkata, Mar 17 (UNI) Major disaster was averted as a fire at Yogayog Bhavan in Central Kolkata was quickly brought under control.

The fire broke out on the 13th floor of the highrise that houses several offices at around 2130hrs.

However, seven firebrigades reached the spot quickly and the fire was brought under control after breaking open the main doors of the building.

By 2230 hours the fire was under control.

Official sources said it was too early to assess the damages or ascertain the cause of the fire.
