Cabinet approval for land to people's representatives

Hyderabad, Mar 17 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet today gave its approval for modifying a Government Order to comply with the guidelines issued by the High Court for allotment of land to people's representatives.

The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, decided to come out with the modified GO for the purpose of alloting land to various categories of people, including MPs, MLAs, and MLCs, official sources said.

As many as 245 acres of land have been identified for the purpose, they added.

The Cabinet decided to increase the quantum of loan by Rs 10,000 to Rs 90,000 for the construction of flats under the Rajiv Gruhakalpa scheme.
