British High Commissioner meets Badal

Chandigarh, Mar 17 (UNI) British High Commissioner Sir Richard Stagg today called on Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal at his residence and evinced keen interest in setting up of joint ventures in the field of infrastructure, power and higher education.

Taking part in the deliberations, Mr Badal asked the High Commissioner to help the state government through sending a delegation of UK based English language teachers to train the school teachers of the state with latest teaching skills to enable the students to have proper command over the language.

Responding to the proposals put forth by Mr Stagg for seeking collaboration in higher institutions of learning, Mr Badal assured fulsome support and cooperation to the British High Commissioner in this regard.
