Bhutan Maoists explode IED
Siliguri, Mar 17(UNI) Suspected Bhutan Maoists today exploded an IED on a no-man's land in Pasakha along the Indo-Bhutan border.
IG, North Bengal, R J S Nalwa said the Maoists detonated the explosive to disturb the election process for Bhutan's Lower House, scheduled for March 24.
However, no one was injured in the blast, Mr Nalwa added.
The election to its Upper House was held on December 31 last.
More than one lakh Bhutanese refugees reside in seven camps in eastern Nepal bordering Darjeeling district and borders had been sealed in view of the elections.
