2 dacoits shot dead, 3 aides held in police encounter
Agra, Mar 17 (UNI) Two dacoits were killed and their three aides arrested from Kolari village neighbouring Uttar Pradesh city and Rajasthan border today.
Six members of the notorious Guddan Kachi gang had abducted one Udey Singh from Satholi village last night, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Agra range) Kamal Saxena said.
However, with the fear of being caught, the outlaws released the abducted and took a hide at a house in Lakhanpur village.
On a tip-off, police cordoned off the house. The accused, however, opened fire at the police and reached near the Kolari village.
In the ensuing encounter, Dongar Kachi and Rakesh were shot dead and their three aides nailed down, the DIG added.
The deceased were accused in several heinous crimes.
Three country made rifles, a pistol and cartridges were also seized from the spot.
