TDP, Congressmen clash in AP, five injured

Kurnool, Mar 16 (UNI) A man was injured severely and four others received minor wounds in a clash between the Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) members at Halvi village of Kautalam mandal in this district today.

Police said the TDP and Congress activists clashed and hurled country-made bombs on each side when the Congress supporters were organising a rally in the village.

The injured were admitted to nearby hospital.

The district police officials and special forces were deployed to the village.

The law and order situation was under control, police added.
