Practicing advocates to get independent chambers in Thane
Thane, Mar 16 (UNI) Practicing advocates from this district, who are members of the Thane District Courts Bar Association, will now get independent chambers for practicing in the premises of the district court.
This is the newest venture undertaken by a group of advocates, who are members and office bearers of the Bar Association.
According to the proposal, a total of 104 chambers will be constructed within the premises of the Thane district court and the sessions court.
Any practicing advocate, who qualifies for the allotment and fullfills the requirements, can book one chamber for himself. One chamber can be occupied by more than one advocate. The chambers will come up in the building to be constructed in the premises and each chamber will cost Rs 2.50 lakh. However, the chambers can be used only up to a certain time after the office hours.
According to one of the members of the Bar Association, this will increase the efficiency of the advocates, who will save their travel time, and also avoid the nuisance of clients, who frequent their homes and disturb their family lives.
