One lakh laddus offered to Lord Ganesh

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 16 (UNI) In a novel pooja, abhishekam was performed to Lord Ganesh with one lakh laddus at the Sri Lakshmi Ganapathi temple at Mahipal street in Amalapuram of East Godavari district today.

A special laddu, weighing 25 kg, was offered to the Lord to mark the eighth annual celebration of the temple. Special poojas were also performed, offering Panchamruta and one lakh durvara pathra.

The Lakshmi Ganapathi Yuvajana Sangham, the main organising body, had performed similar abhisheka offering one lakh 'Undrallu', the most sought after dish of Lord Ganesh, last year.

Large number of devotees thronged the temple from various places to have darshan of the Lord.
