National workshop on Zingiberaceous Spices on Mar 19
Kozhikode, Mar 16 (UNI) Prominent agriculture scientists, farmers and government officials from across the country would attend a national workshop on 'Zingiberaceous Spices' beginning here on Wednesday.
Indian Council of Agricultural Research Deputy Director (Horticulture) H P Singh would inaugurate the two-day event jointly organised by the Indian Institute of Spices Research and Directorate of Arecanut and Spices Development, Calicut, said a release here.
The workshop would deliberate on multiple perspectives of Zingiberaceous Spices such as integrated management of diseases and pests, post harvest technologies, value addition and protection of plant varieties and farmers rights among others, it added.
