Two killed in car-lorry collision
Tiruchirapalli, Mar 15 (UNI) Two persons were killed on the spot and three others, including two women, were injured when a car in which they were travelling collided with a speeding sandladen lorry at Ramagoundanpatti village on the Tiruchirapalli-Madurai highway, near here, today.
Police said the occupants of the car were the family members of a jewellery merchant here and they were on their way to Rameswaram when the mishap occurred.
The injured were admitted to a private hospital here, police said.
