Standard X exams begin Mar 24 in AP
Hyderabad, Mar 15 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Primary Education Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha today said Standard X Public examinations would be held from March 24 to April nine in 5,591 examination centres in the State.
Addressing a press conference here, the Minister said the total number of students appearing for the examinations would be 12,81,489, including 5,68,816 girls.
As many as 2,00,555 boys and 1,10,972 girls would appear as private candidates.
Three hundred flying squads were constituted all over the State to curb malpractices and outside interferences at the centres during the examinations, he said, adding district-level observers would visit the centres before the commencement of the examinations to assess the prevailing condition.
The Electricity Department was requested to supply uninterrupted power during examination time and Health Department asked to provide first aid kits at the centres, he said.
