Ruling JD(U) MLA and three others injured in road accident

Sasaram, Mar 15 (UNI) Dal (United) MLA and former Bihar Minister Chhedi Paswan and three other people were seriously injured in a road accident here today, police said.

The accident occurred when Mr Paswan's car collided head on with a tractor on National Highway 2 near Paspipra village, about 40 km from here, severely injuring all the four occupants.

People rushed to the spot and sent all the injured to a local health centre before they were shifted to Patna Medical College and Hospital(PMCH) as their condition deteriorated.

Mr Paswan was on his way to his Assembly constituency at Mohnias in the district when the accident occurred.

His car was also badly damaged.

Though a case had been lodged, none had been arrested so far in this connection.
