Naidu slams Govt for inviting Sonia for airport inauguration
Hyderabad, Mar 15 (UNI) Telugu Desam party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today criticised the Andhra pradesh government for inviting AICC president Sonia Gandhi to inaugurate the greenfield Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamashabad.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Naidu said '' instead of inviting Ms Gandhi, the State government should have invited Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to inaugurate the airport.'' ''The government misused power and made the inaugural function a mere Congress function,'' he alleged.
Mr Naidu also alleged that the Congress leaders used state-owned Road Transport Corporation (RTC) buses, free of cost, to bring people to Jaggampeta, where Ms Gandhi addressed the public meeting.
