Madhya Pradesh: Mob attacks police station
Barwani, Mar 15: Five police personnel were injured when a mob pelted stones on Warla police station of this district demanding compensation to five labourers, who suffered injuries due to electrocution, police said today. A cotton-laden truck on which five labourers were sitting came in contact with electric wires when it was en route from Chikhali village. The injured were provided first aid at hospital in Warla and sent to a Dhulia-based hospital in Maharashtra.
Their family members agitated in front of police station demanding action against truck owner and cotton trader. About 100 people entered police station and agitated there. Later, police lathicharged and lobbed tear gas shells causing injuries to two people.
