55-year-old woman murdered

Jalandhar, Mar 15 (UNI) A 55-year-old woman was today found dead in her house at village Chitti under Lambra Police Station in the district.

Police said that deceased identified as Kanta Devi was probably killed with a sharp-edged weapon.

Kanta's husband Shamlal, a brick klin owner, in a statment to the police alleged that he saw his neighbour Ravi Kant coming out of the house and also found Rs two lakh missing from the house.

On the complaint of Shamlal, a case was registered against Ravi Kant, who was still at large, police said adding that efforts were on to nab the culprit.
