Wanted Naxalite held after encounter
Lucknow, Mar 14 (UNI) The Special Operation Group (SOG) of police has nailed a wanted woman Naxalite, carrying a bounty of Rs 20,000 on his head, after a brief encounter in the Naxalite-hit Sonebhadra district in Uttar Pradesh.
Acting on a tip-off, cops swooped down on Jokhan Cheru resident Samri alias Babita near Mau Museum late last night, police said today.
A pistol and large number of cartridges were recovered from her possession.
A manhunt had been launched to nab her associates.
