Sonia goes down memory lane
Hyderabad, Mar 14 (UNI) United Progressive Alliance(UPA) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi today recalled the close association her family had with Hyderabad.
Speaking after unveiling the portrait of her husband and as sassingled former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi by noted painter S Gujaral, she turned nostalgic and recalled that it was here her husband had his advanced training as pilot.
Today is momentous occasion for Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and the country, she observed, while noting with satisfaction, naming of the airport after Rajiv Gandhi.
The former Prime Minister had his training as a pilot in 1968 in this city.
