NDMC launches awareness campaign to check dengue, chikungunya
New Delhi, Mar 14 (UNI) The New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) today launched an awareness campaign to sensitise principals of its schools and other educational institutions and nodal officers of colleges to check spread dengue, chikungunya and malaria.
About 200 representatives from 131 schools and colleges participated in the campaign, which is the second such initiative by NDMC this year.
''The objective of organising the programme is to inculcate awareness among the children about symptoms and preventive measures of the disease... Teachers play a significant role in educating children,'' an NDMC spokesperson said.
