Keralite commits suicide in Punjab
Phagwara, Mar 14 (UNI) A migrant Kerala worker allegedly committed suicide today in this town in Kapurthala district of Punjab, police said.
The man, identified as Kali Mathau Thangewal, reportedly took his life by consuming poison at his residence in Baba Gadhia area of the town.
However, police could not find any suicide note near his body.
Police said, according to some family members, Thangewal was suffering from depression for some time, which apparently led him to take the extreme step.
The body of the deceased was handed over to his family members after conducting post mortem examination in civil hospital here this evening.
Police has registered a case.
