Former Kerala MLA passes away

Kannur, Kerala, Mar 14: Former MLA and CMP leader C P Moosan Kutty died at the Pariyaram medical college here this morning, following old age related illness. He was 76. He is survived by four children.

Associated with the CPI(M) in his early years, he had later joined the Communist Marxist Party. Mr Kutty entered politics through the Communist movement in 1946 and served as its MLA from Thaliparamba constituency in 1980 and 1982. He had also served as CPI(M) State Committee member and CPI(M) Wayanad District Secretary.

He was the State President of Karshaka Sangam and Karshaka Federation, Chairman of State Cooperatvie Union and was a Director and Board member of the Pariyaram Medical College. The funeral would take place in the evening at Kambil maidhanam mosque, family sources said.
