CPI(M) denounces reference of Nandigram in US report
New Delhi, Mar 14 (UNI) The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has denounced the reference to Nandigram in the US state department's latest annual report on rights violation in India last year.
The party in a statement issued here today stated that the Polit Bureau found the reference unnecessary and unwarranted. The report was based on totally misplaced facts, the statement added.
The Polit Bureau suggested that the US government would rather concentrate on taking positions on gross human rights violations in occupied Iraq and by Israel regime in the Gaza strips and other areas of occupied Palestine.
