Aamir Khan goes bald on birthday

Mumbai, Mar 14 (UNI) Bollywood's ''Mr Perfectionist'' Aamir Khan who was in news recently for his light hearted banter with reigning superstar Shah Rukh Khan on who is ''Number one'', will go bald for Mani Ratnam's ''Ghajini'' on his birthday today.

Over the last few months, there had been a lot of speculation as to when Aamir would go bald.

''Ghajini'' is an action thriller which requires him to go bald for a specific look which the actor dons in certain portions of the film.

While the shooting for his ''haired'' look is complete and the actor for sometime is required to shave off his head which he had been postponing for various reasons.

But the actor finally decided to shave off his head on his birthday as suggested by wife Kiran.

The bald look of Aamir is being meticulously worked upon and hair stylist Avan Contractor is working on it. Various looks are being discussed and that is the reason that he has taken time in shaving off his hair.

Actually it has been Kiran's suggestion that he cannot choose a better day than his birthday to change his look.

He has curtailed his birthday celebrations as he is very anxious on his final look. Sources say that it may not be a completely shiny bald look but a unique cross look on which the actor is himself working out in detail with the stylist.

Aamir will be seen in his bald look tommorrow in New Delhi where he is scheduled to attend the India Today Conclave where he will be sharing dais with prominent personalities from India and abroad.

The actor who made his debut as a director in ''Taare Zameen Par'' last year had grown his hair and moustache for Ketan Mehta's ''Mangal Pandey'' to essay the role of revolutionary Mangal Pandey few years ago.
