A labourer dies while taking out bricks from a well, another injured

Fatehgarh Sahib, Mar 14 (UNI) A labourer was killed and another injured seriously when they were taking out bricks from a well at village Hawara Kalan of district.

As per reports, seven labourers were taking out sand and bricks from a well of a farmer Tehal Singh when suddenly sand and bricks fell on two of them. The villagers immediately informed the officials of district administration. The Fatehgarh Sahib ADC, Khamano SDM and SHO reached the spot and started rescue operations.

After efforts of around 3 hours, Gagandeep Singh and Rana of village Chuharmajra were taken out of the well in serious condition with the help of JCB machine. They were immediately rushed to Civil Hospital at Khamano, where Gagandeep Singh succumbed to injuries while Rana was still getting treatment.
