17 Injured while proceeding to Sonia Meeting
Prathipadu, (Andhra Pradesh), Mar 14 (UNI) Seventeen people were injured when a lorry in which they were travelling overturned due to a tyre burst at Prathipadu mandal in East Godavari district today.
Police said they were proceeding to Jaggampeta from Sankavaram village to attend AICC President Sonia Gandhi's public meeting when the mishap occurred. About 50 persons were travelling in the lorry.
Four of the injured were admitted to the government general hospital at Kakinada, while the remaining were discharged after first aid at a local hospital.
