SR collects over Rs 2 lakh as fine

Chennai, Mar 13 (UNI) The Southern Railway has detected 1,078 cases and collected a sum of Rs 2,08,191 as fine from passengers during a checking drive, conducted from March 11 to 13.

According to a release here today, a special ticket checking drive was conducted by the Chennai Division of the Southern Railway on Chennai Central-Tiruvallur-Arakkonam section against travelling without ticket, footboard travel and unreserved passengers entering reserved compartments.
