Sex racket busted, 22 held

Lucknow, Mar 13 (UNI) The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police today busted a sex racket with the arrest of 22 persons, including 11 sex workers, in the state capital.

Acting on a tip-off, Prem Singh alias Rahul along with a girl was nailed down near Classic crossing in Mahanagar area.

On the basis of their information, police teams raided Vikas Nagar, Aliganj, Janki Puram, Madiyanv, Gomti Nagar and Indira Nagar area.

According to police, one Sunita Srivastava was running an organised sex racket in the state capital.

On interrogation, the accused disclosed that Sunita and aides used lure young girls from other districts and states and coerce them into the illicit trade in the name of providing them jobs.

A hunt to nab their associates was on.
