Rs 300 cr for modernisation of intellectual property offices

New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today gave its approval for implementing the project for modernisation strengthening of Intellectual Property Offices at an estimated cost of Rs 300 crore in the 11th Five Year Plan.

The modernised Intellectual Property Offices would be able to provide infrastructure necessary for a vibrant intellectual property regime which would be able to address the concerns of reliability, effectiveness, transparency and user-friendliness of the procedures and capable of handling increased workload.
