Rainfall occurred at some parts of the State

Bangalore, Mar 13 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations record in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts: Subramanya, Mudigere 4 each, Belthangadi, Mudigere 3 each, Siddapura, Dharmasthala, Udupi, Bhagamandala, C R Patna, Madikeri 2 each.

Maximum temperatures fell appreciably at many places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka, however below normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36.3 degree celsius over the State.

Minimum temperatures rose at many places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and rose at a few places over North Interior Karnataka. They were below normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka, however above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over South Interior Karnataka.

Davanagere recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 17 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Staturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy.

Rain/thundershowers likely. Maximum and Minimum temperature likely to be around 30 and 20 degree celsius respectively.
