Patric, Dekker join Diaz in 'My Sister's Keeper'

Washington, Mar 13 : Jason Patric and Thomas Dekker have signed on to join Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin in 'My Sister's Keeper'.

The New Line drama will see Patric playing Diaz's husband in the flick that is based on director Nick Cassavetes' adaptation of Jodi Picoult's novel of the same name.

Patric and Diaz play a couple sued by their 13-year-old daughter, to be played by Breslin, for emancipation as she was only conceived and underwent several operations to help save her ill older sister (Sofia Vassilieva).

Dekker plays the older sister's boyfriend and a fellow cancer survivor, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

Also starring in the movie are Alec Baldwin and Joan Cusack.

The film is shooting in Los Angeles.

New Line's Merideth Finn and Mark Kaufman are overseeing production for the studio.
