No LTTE activity in TN: DGP
Chennai, Mar 13 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Director General of Police P Rajendran today said there was no activity of the banned LTTE in the State.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function organised by the NASSCOM on combating cyber crime, he said security in the coastal areas had been strengthened.
Referring to the seizure of a huge boat, meant for the banned outfit, seized in Kerala, he said this was due to the stringent security measures put in place in coastal areas.
''Absolutely there was no LTTE activity in the state'', he added.
Referring to the arrest of an actor involved in submitting fake documents for applying visa to US, Mr Rajendran said stringent action would be taken against them.
''Whoever indulge in such acts, the law will take its own course'', he added.
