Naxals on the rampage

Nagpur, Mar 13 (UNI) Suspected Naxalites torched road construction equipment in Gadchiroli district in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra today.

A group of 30 to 40 naxalites arrived at the site of road construction near village Salegacha this afternoon. The outlaws set fire to six tippers and a 'spraybozer' that was being used in the work, a police press release said.

The naxalites wanted the road construction work to come to a halt, and hence set fire to vehicles and equipment, it added.
